Headlight Solutions® (HLS) is an R&D company with extensive experience in producing custom software and hardware based on the customer`s needs. HLS has been founded in 2013. In 2020, the company registered a turnover of over 12 million euros, from projects that include complex software solutions and custom-made hardware. In September 2021, HLS brought onboard Visual Fan, the company that owns the brand Allview, which now holds 12% of HLS. The company has evolved constantly over time, developing a solid customer base, mainly in terms of the fact that it can provide complete solutions: hardware, software and consulting. In our team, good communication and collaboration are the core values.

We are currently looking for:

Embedded Engineer

Role Description

Design, develop, and maintain embedded products and firmware
Collaborate with other teams to ensure successful product launches
Write technical specifications and design documentation
Troubleshoot and debug embedded products
Continuously improve and optimize embedded products
Work on low-level driver and firmware development

What are the skills required?

  • development of automation and communications subsystems using microcontrollers
  • conceptual design based on system requirements
  • practical design in CAD (KiCad, Eagle etc.)
  • strong C, C++ and Python programming skills
  • assembly skills for the initial prototypes
  • physical rework / debugging skills
  • the ability to develop firmware running on microcontrollers
  • firmware debugging capabilities
  • direct involvement in the purchase of hardware or components and / or software
  • studying the technological feasibility of the envisaged application
  • analysis of technical system constraints and costs
  • defining the hardware and software architecture of the project
  • writing the functional specifications in collaboration with other specialists involved in the project
  • making electronic diagrams and simulating functions

FPGA Engineer

Role Description

FPGA firmware development for high end electronic devices
Verification and testing HW on testbench and on site (if necessary)
Active involvement in development of electronic system architecture, complex functionality concepts and reviews
Close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams consisting of software, hardware, field application engineers and external electronic hardware development partners
Writing technical presentations and documentation

What are the skills required?

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in electronics engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in digital electronic design with FPGA
  • Strong VHDL, Verilog, Lucid programming skills
  • Strong understanding of digital and analog electronics, HW circuit design, microcontrollers and electronic components
  • Familiarity with FPGA implementation, design constraints, timing analysis etc.
  • VDHL functional simulation knowledge, design for validation and code coverage analysis
  • Familiarity with Xilinx FPGA’s – ARTIX, Zynq
  • Familiarity with various industrial communication protocols like: UART, I2C, SPI, 1-wire, CAN
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Electronics Engineer

Role Description

Design electronic products from requirements through prototyping to final product and maintenance phases
Assemble, test and troubleshoot electronic devices
PCB layout, prototype design and assemble PCB boards
Collaborate with other teams to ensure successful product launches
Troubleshoot and debug electronic devices

What are the skills required?

  • 3+ years of experience in electronic design and development
  • Strong understanding of circuit design, microcontroller, and electronic components
  • Familiarity with Linux and programming languages such as C, C++ and Python Embedded
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Senior Software Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Senior Software Engineer role located in Braşov, Romania.
The Senior Software Engineer will also work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions.

What are the skills required?

  • Strong background in Computer Science and related fields
  • At least 5 years experience in web and desktop Development
  • Proficient in Programming with a focus on Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • Experience with common programming languages such as PHP/Laravel, C#, .NET (ASP.NET Core, WPF) or JavaScript libraries and frameworks.
  • Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Capable of taking technical decisions
